Welcome to Cornerstone Community Church

apple picking at the Yeh Farm in Michigan

Fall is here! On behalf of the Bass Family’s friend and Cornerstone, you are invited to harvest apples, pears, peaches, grapes, and more from a Michigan farm from 10 am - 2 pm Central Standard Time. BYOB - Bring Your Own Bags to fill.

Use the signup sheet at church during refreshment time to let us know if you’re coming, if transportation is needed, and what you'll be bringing for lunch. e.g., drinks, sides, etc. There will be various activities for children, youth, and adults.

Help the Greens

Come out and join us on Saturday, October 8 at 10:00 AM as we gather to help pastor and Michele Green with moving, arranging, and setting up items in their new garage. The goal is to get everything moved and set up in its proper place so that the Greens will have room to park their van before winter. Their home is located at 1211 Cardinal Drive in Algonquin, IL. Carpooling is available. Please use our sign-up sheet during refreshments in the gym or email Eric by Thursday, October 6, if you're interested in helping.

Savvy Conference

We invite all the women in Cornerstone to the 2016 Savvy Conference at Wheaton College in the Coray Auditorium Beamer Center. The conference is hosted by Pam Gillaspie and Jan Silvious. The topic covered will prepare women in new and interesting ways to be "that woman" who will make a difference in being "savvy" in how you live your life and how you influence others in living theirs.

Bike the Lakefront

Calling all men! Come and join us for a bike ride on the lakefront before summer comes to a close. We'll start off at 31st Street Beach around 10:00 AM and head towards downtown. We'll stop along the way to take in the sites with potential stops at Museum Campus, Northerly Island, Grant Park, and Millennium Park. We'll end our trip by stopping for lunch at the Island Party Hut located on the Chicago River Walk before heading back home. For those without bikes, there will be DIVVY Bikes available. We encourage you to invite a guest to tag along.

Calvin Robinson

Join us Sunday, August 28 in a new sermon series by Calvin Robinson as we gain insight for life through the expository teachings of the Psalms. The Psalms are rich in theological content to help us know the God whom we serve, while at the same time rich in human emotion, helping us to put our joy, pains and confusion into words. The Psalms reassure us that we are not alone in our struggles or in our worship for victories He has won for us. They encourage us to see that we are indeed compassed about with a great cloud of witnesses!
