Men's Ministry: Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Conference, Feb 17

With a new year upon us, let's challenge ourselves as men to grow in our walk with God. Let's also challenge our friends, family, neighbors, and/or co-workers to do the same. The conference will be held at the Orland Park Church. Keynote Speakers include Lieut. Gen. (Ret) Jerry Boykin and Rod Hairston. Early registration is $56 and ends on 2/7. Student pricing is $32. Lunch will be covered by the Cornerstone Men’s Ministry. See Eric Burpee if additional cost assistance is needed.

Super Bowl Potluck Party, Feb 4

Everyone is invited to our annual all-church Super Bowl potluck party at the Higgs home (2912 W 39th Pl) beginning at 5 pm. Sign up for something to bring during refreshments at church. Contact Alex or Margarita Higgs with any questions.

Quarterly Congregational Meeting, Jan 28

Our next quarterly congregational meeting will take place after service and before refreshments. We will be going over church business. e.g., secretary’s and treasurer’s reports. If you have any new business you’d like to possibly add to the agenda, please contact the elders. All are welcome to attend.

Men's Ministry Connect: Board Game Night, Jan 26

Come out and unwind from 6-10 pm for an evening of board games, food, and fellowship at Dan Yeo's home located at 960 W 37th St Unit 4, Chicago, IL 60609. If you’d like to join in for for dinner, the cost will be $5-10/person depending on the number of people. Those driving can park in the back (W 37th St and S Morgan St) or in the Johnson Pipe lot. It is my favorite time of year! Advent is the season leading up to Christmas and including the four preceding Sundays. For me it is always a season of deep reflection and contemplation as I ponder the meaning of Jesus’ birth and life. I daily consider what His birth means for the world, and for me.
