Second Saturday Flag Football - July 14

What: Flag Football - Second Saturday Fellowship
When: Saturday, July 14, 2012, 9am - 1pm
Where: Ping Tom Park (corner of W. 18th St and S. Wentworth

The Men's Ministry invites all Cornerstone men and their friends, neighbors, and coworkers to the Second Saturday Fellowship.

Are you ready for some football? All men, friends, and neighbors are invited to play flag football at Ping Tom Park. Frisbee will also be on hand. If interested in playing, contact Dan Yeo or Eric Burpee: [email protected]

Come and build friendships! Food and drink will be provided, so sign up by Thursday, July 12th, by replying to this message with who will be attending so that we can get a head count.

Women's Ministry Summer Series

Women's Ministry

On Thursday evenings this summer, the women of Cornerstone invite you and your guests for an evening of fellowship, food, fun, a topical presentation, and prayer.

Our purpose is to encourage women of every age and life stage to walk more closely with God and to develop friendships with one another. Our first topic will be Recapturing Your First Love.

When:
Thursday evenings, 7:30 – 9:00 pm
June 21 through August 23

Feel free to attend all or some of the weekly meetings and invite your friends.

Shuttle service from church to Ping Tom Park
300 W. 19th St., just north of Chinatown Square

The church will provide:

  • A whole roast pig
  • Rolls & chips
  • Corn on the cob
  • Watermelon
  • Drinks
  • Napkins, utensils, & plates
  • A limited number of chairs & tarps

Please bring:

  • Folding chair or blanket for sitting
  • Salad for sharing (potato, fruit, vegetable, pasta, etc.)
  • Sunscreen

Movie in the Park with Cornerstone!

Enjoy an evening of fun with friends at a "movie in the park", a beloved Chicago tradition. Co-sponsored by Cornerstone Community Church and the Chicago Park District, Despicable Me will be shown on Saturday August 18, 2012 at Cotton Tail Park, a beautiful neighborhood park in the heart of the South Loop. The movie starts at dusk. Bring a blanket and a picnic basket, but come early because it can get crowded. Free popcorn for all!
