Discipleship Small Groups — Connecting For Growth

In the history of Christianity, significant spiritual growth has almost always been associated with small group involvement. Although the relationships formed in them may endure for decades, small groups tend to last at most for a few years. That is why we encourage you to find your spiritual home and your long-term friendships in a Community Group. For spiritual growth, we encourage you to join one of our discipleship small groups. We have three types of small groups at Cornerstone.

  • Alpha groups are designed to help you get established in your spiritual life. These groups focus on understanding the Gospel message, forgiveness, assurance of salvation, and a relationship with God.
  • Growth groups are designed to help individuals seeking to consistently walk with God, often in a new life stage, or when needing healing and God’s provision for an area of struggle. These groups emphasize mentoring and equipping.
  • Ministry groups are designed to help individuals who are walking in the Spirit and serving Christ and His church (i.e., the spiritually healthy and health-giving) sustain a consistent spiritual life that bears fruit. These groups emphasize mentoring, encouraging, and equipping for on-going spiritual life and ministry in a context of loving, Christ-centered, committed relationships

Special Small Groups — Connecting With Special Interests

We have groups broad in purpose and requirements to join. Examples of these are: a mother’s group (friendship, encouragement, and prayer), a prayer group, a workplace group (friendship and prayer). We want to make it as easy as possible for you to connect with the type of group you are looking for. Please contact Pastor Green or an elder for further information about any one of our current groups.

Women's Fellowship — Connecting as Sisters

Women’s Fellowship. The purpose of Women’s Fellowship activities is to give the women of Cornerstone an opportunity to strengthen relationships with other women in the church, do things together that we enjoy, and provide a place to bring friends and make new friends.

Men’s Fellowship — Connecting as Brothers

Second Saturday for Men.
men's and women's ministry
Would you like a place to get to know other men in a relaxed setting, or do a variety of things that men enjoy? Have you ever wanted a place to invite your friends or make new friends? Then Second Saturday is for you! On the second Saturday of each month we meet for breakfast and an activity, indoors or outdoors. Typical activities are do-it-yourself home improvement projects, basic automotive maintenance, a cooking class for men, biking, or fishing. We always have a great breakfast and time to fellowship with other men.
